Measuring existing vertical blind slats
For replacement slats on an existing track, take down one current slat and measure the slat itself. Do not use the window recess measurement unless the full blind or track is being replaced.
How to measure
Accurate measurements are essential because replacement slats are made to customer specification. If unsure, request help before final quote confirmation.

2
Measure across the fabric width of one slat. 89mm is common, but checking avoids ordering replacement slats that do not match the existing track and spacing.
3
Measure from the very top of the hanger to the bottom edge of the fabric. Record the finished drop in millimetres and avoid rounding unless advised.
4
Count every slat on the existing track, including damaged or missing slats that need replacing. For a bay window, count each track section carefully.
5
Ask for help if the track is damaged, the slats are different lengths, the hanger style is unusual, or you are unsure whether weights, hangers, or chain are needed.
6
Common issues include measuring the window recess instead of the slat, counting only damaged slats, missing the hanger in the drop, or assuming all old slats are the same length.
Custom-made items are produced to the measurements supplied. Check width, drop, quantity, hanger style, bottom weights, and chain requirements before approving a quote. If something does not look right, pause and ask first.
Send the measurements you have, describe the current blind, and mention any damaged parts. Photos can be added in a future upload workflow.
